I had worked four years before I came to Stirling. At that time, I just felt a bit confused, and didn¡¯t know what I can do in the future. So I decided to take a break and pursue my study career. As I worked in educational press publishing English textbooks, I chose the TESOL programme for my Masters.
When I was researching my Masters degree, I learned that education in Stirling has great reputation, and the ±¬ÁϳԹÏÍø campus is the most beautiful. I studied for MSc TESOL which is a one-year programme and every day in Stirling was memorable, honestly. I always walked to the campus to take lessons and do my research. I hope the current students of Stirling have clear goals. What¡¯s more, I hope that they do treasure every moment in Stirling as study time is short. I¡¯d recommend that you open your hearts and communicate with the locals to learn about the local culture, which would be valuable treasure of your life.
I graduated in 2015 and currently I work in Higher English Education Publishing Division, Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. I¡¯m the Deputy Director of College English Publishing Department. All I learned in Stirling is relevant to my current job which is about designing English textbook for Chinese university students. The main challenges of my job is that when we design a new series of textbooks, innovation and creativity are needed. We utilise up-to-date language, teaching pedagogy and research results into the textbooks design.
