About me

I am a researcher in marketing and consumer research, with interests in social inclusion and institutional complexity in markets. My work examines how consumers, particularly vulnerable or marginalised consumers, navigate institutionally complex consumption practices shaped by competing social, cultural, and organisational demands.

I use qualitative and interpretive methodologies, including participant-led and ethnographic approaches, to explore how consumption experiences are understood and enacted in context. Through this research, I contribute to literature on institutional complexity, consumer vulnerability and inclusion, and the dynamics of consumption practices within marketing and related social science fields.

I collaborate with partners across housing, third-sector organisations, and policy-facing initiatives to deliver applied and impact-oriented research on inclusion, participation, and institutional change. My current work involves a co-produced project with a housing sector organisation exploring engagement with equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, including changing patterns of participation and organisational response within shifting socio-political contexts.
